After fifteen years of hard work, James Cameron came out with an exclusive film called Avatar. Like his previous works, this film guarantees the presentation of unique story with the blend of special effects. The film pictures the scenario, which audiences have never seen, nor predicted.
As far as the story is concerned, it takes the viewers 150 years ahead of the present time where humans toil to save the earth. Since, the natural resources on Earth are almost used up, the humans need to replenish the resources in order to sustain lives. Therefore, US undergoes a forced landing on another planet called Pandora to migrate ‘Unobtanium’ to Earth, which is the most vital mineral, required to save Earth. However, the main hindrance is the people of the planet.
They are blue colored inhabitants called the Na’vis, who don’t want their planet to get devastated by humans. Therefore, a revolt occurs to save their respective planets. James Cameron has come up with a marvelous action science-fiction, but a love story in the war adds spice to the film. The film shows an emotional love story between Neytiri, whose a Na’vi and Jake. Jake is an ex-marine, who was relieved because the lower half of his body was incapacitated during a fight. However, scientists engineer his body and make him an ‘avatar’, which is a mixture of the Na’vi and humans.
He is created to converse with people of Pandora. During his mission, Jake falls in love with Neytiri, who is Pandora’s resident and its citizens, and this makes for an essentially intriguing story. James Cameron has efficiently balanced the love story and action in the film. In addition to the outstanding plotline, the special effects of the film can’t be ignored. It looked real in every sense, ranging from planet Pandora to the emotions of characters. The digital effects used in the movie is commendable, as it instills realism in the movie to the extent of believing that the creatures are as real and tangible as you and me! The film maintains a good pace in both the halves. From the beginning till the end, the film manages to engross the viewers’ attentions.
By making Avatar, James Cameron has proved himself to be the guru of sci-fi. He has come up with a kind of film, which is not everyone’s cup of tea. Probably no one has ever come across such a colorful and captivating imagination. Only a talent like James Cameron can think out of the box and present such a kind of sci-fi rendition.
